A New Year: September 28th, 2010

It’s a couple of days later . . . nevertheless, Tuesday, September 28th I celebrated my birthday in New York City!

I had my “Annual 29th Birthday Bash” at the lovely restaurant East of Eighth in Manhattan. My wonderful guests were my friends: Christine St. Pierre, Erica Hawkins, Jordan Auslander, Eileen Murphy, the Berg family (Ira, Caroline & Rebekah), my beloved buddy, Mozz Mendez, Joseph Fusco, Jason Brook and Loretta Dalesandro.

After the festivities at the restaurant . . . Christine, Loretta, Mozz, Joseph and I went over to Jordan’s place, which overlooks Chelsea. He lives on the 21st floor with a lovely balcony overlooking Manhattan.

Loretta, Christine and I sat on the balcony and chatted on this beautiful day and evening.

My new friend, Helen Schneider, from Switzerland, was unable to attend as she not feeling well. We made plans to meet tomorrow, before she flies back home to her husband and four children.

129) Remember That Prosperity Is For Everyone

Attracting wealth into your life does not mean that you are depleting someone else’s reserve. Law of Attraction teachers and practitioners say that the power that brings something to you out of infinite potential can deliver the same thing to another. There is no corresponding loss to infinite potential. When you give from a place of loving kindness, your gift, some say, returns magnified many times over and sometimes in a different form.

Not too long ago, at Manhattan Theatre Source, we began a Wednesday evening Source Writers Group, for those who couldn’t come on Sunday afternoon. Tonight, for the first time, I attended this meeting. My back really killing me and I was hyped up on Tylenol 3.

In the group, Ed Malin read a piece he wrote, it was interesting . . .with flying and ships and San Francisco. As different as it was, it was entertaining and so visual, at least, in my “movie-like” mind.

That said, Christine met me there. Mozz Mendez, gotta love him, wanted us to see his show, Billy Carver And The Children In Mind. He says it’s his last stage play and he will focus on tv writing for a while.

Mozz is right, though, there’s more money in television or film writing.

Christine and I did our usual session and went to hang out and talk at the diner.

Whatever the case, the pain is very bad…my diagnosis is lumbar strain. What the hell did I do?! Not moving very quickly, or well.

Angela Theresa

Billy Carver and The Children In Mind (via Adaumbelle’s Quest)

My friend, Mozz Mendez, is the brainchild behind this “hit” . . . go see it! I saw it tonight and it is so worth it!!! Woo Hoo!

Billy Carver and The Children In Mind On Tuesday, July 6,  I saw the very first performance of “Billy Carver and The Children In Mind” at Manhattan’s Theatre Source, written and directed by MontSerrat Mendez, the award-winning writer of “Thoroughly Stupid Things.” This British comedy tells the story of Joannie Roman Redd, a successful writer of the “Billy Carver” series who thinks of giving up her career after the reviews of her latest book suggest she put her stories on the big scre … Read More

OTHER BLOGS: Those That Inspire Me

Dori Hartley:

She has a blog and recently her article was published. Thus, here is the article. A must-read. To explain Dori is, in itself a feat. She’s rather amazing, unusual. Dori has been on Broadway and spent the late 70s and early 80s hanging w/people such as Tim Curry, was the first “Frank N. Furter” in a the first cast (people) to perform below the movie screen @ the midnight show showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and was in the music biz and made an album. She’s a brilliant artist and a cancer survivor, a mother and a person I’m honored to call a friend.

Clint Irwin:

A brilliant guy I had the pleasure to work with at Manhattan Theatre Source. He entertained me regularly with his sense of humor. Then, a week or so later, his brilliant writing amazed me. Check it out! It is a surprise this man is not published.

Montserrat “Mozz” Mendez:

I’ve spoken of my wonderful “Mozz” before . . . I just adore this guy! A brilliant playwright, loving person and one of my best friends in the world. To know Mozz is to adore him. Come see his plays and visualize his incredibly great play THOROUGHLY STUPID THINGS (the continuing story of The Importance of Being Earnest) being on Broadway! I will be in the Broadway touring cast, of course!

Day Forty-Two (42): Peaceful, Easy Feeling w/Mozz & The Village

Day FortyTwo (42): Sunday, April 11th, 2010

42) Love Promotes Creativity

Some artists, who have not yet experienced success, may feel a love for their craft but do not have the optimism, confidence, and sense of expectancy that they can create something unique and exceptional. Perhaps their love for their craft is not as strong as their sense of defeatism or failure, which can sabotage their efforts. And yet, others use their pain and suffering as images in their work. Love pulls them into their work and passion serves as the catalyst that ignites their vision for what they desire to manifest. Such artists may become highly successful, turning out magnificent and unique works as their gifts to the world.

Today, as is the custom of my people . . . theatre people; I went to the theatre! Manhattan Theatre Source for the Source Writers meeting.

This time I did manage to arrive early enough for my favorite meal: Lunch at the BBQ Restaurant across from MTS on 8th Street.

Who would’ve guessed that some 25 years ago, when I was hanging out on 8th Street . . . attending The Rocky Horror Picture Show at 8th Street Playhouse; that this many years later, I’d be “hanging out on 8th Street” for theatre. Which, in the 1980s, was my goal — THEATRE.

Of course, I thought, by now, it would be the Broadway stage.

I digress . . . so, we heard some short pieces by Alaina Hammond and one short piece by Maria Micheles.

Both Alaina and Maria are brilliant writers: Alaina, nevertheless, does go off on tangents. I do enjoy her writing, very much, despite a tangent or two. As a group, we chose one of Alaina’s plays for the Estrogenius Festival; I believe, we also chose from two of Maria’s [not easy with both of them being excellent at their craft]. After the reading, Alaina reminded us that she is a genius. Maria is a different soul…more laid back, at least, on the surface and strong as needed.

After this, Mozz was in the lobby and we decided, on this beautiful Sunday . . . to go to a coffee shop and chat. We ended up at “Gizzi’s” and had a great conversation about letting go. How the Universe gives us messages . . . first time, it whispers; the 2nd time, the Universe speaks louder and the third time, the Universe gives you a quick kick in the ass!

This is very relevent as a few days later would prove to me. Mozz wasn’t letting go of some emotional situations and he was mugged; lost his phone and a journal dedicated to these emotional issues. A very loud message to let go . . .

Of course, we create these situations with our thoughts. Because, I know, I was talking to Mozz about my things (my storage), which I need to go through and purge. Or else the Universe is going to purge it for me . . . particularly if I keep thinking about it.

Famous last words, huh . . . luckily, the Universe gave me a break and only purged my computer files.

Oh, Mozz’s new blog: http://amzcreative.wordpress.com/

Day Nineteen (19): Tarot, Theatre & Muggings

Day Nineteen (19): Friday, March 19, 2010

19) Calm Your Restless Thoughts

To deliberately utilize the Law of Attraction, it’s important to understand how the mind works and then train it as your tool. If you have practiced meditation, you’ve experienced the mind’s restless nature. Thoughts keep jumping around because of word associations, direct linkage, or internal and external stimuli. Learn to train your mind to stay on topic. Contemplate all things related to the object or circumstance that you seek to manifest. Wrap your thoughts around your desire, sharpen your focus, and feel expectant to draw the desired object to you.

Late last evening/early this morning: My dear friend was mugged and received some injuries. His phone and a bag with three of his scripts was also taken. It happened in New Jersey. Thus, if anyone finds these scripts, well . . .hey, contact him. My friend is doing all right and will be recovering from a fractured rib and sprain jaw for a time.

So, tonight . . . strangely, here was my evening:

A couple of weeks ago, my friend at the Source (MTS – Manhattan Theatre Source) invited me to “read tarot cards” at a theatre party on the Upper East Side. My friend, Mike Hill . . . a handsome young man! I did just that this evening.

I missed the show at the Bohemian National Hall yet, was on time for The Rudolf II Costume Ball/Benefit; where I was to read tarot cards.

I did just that at a table they set up for me. The first person I read for was a young man, then his girlfriend … a very drunk young woman named Johanna; then her mother. The tarot cards were very good tonight and picked up a lot. I didn’t have my business cards with me and a donation cup. Johanna left me the most money! $20.00 or more.

For the night, since I arrived with about $8.00 left in my purse and only $20.00 in my bank; I gained another $26.00 dollars. It’s strange, with my Law of Attraction I find myself this close too broke.

And a reminder: Never say “I’m poor”! Poor is a state of being . . . a way of life. “Broke” is temporary. It’s best to never acknowledge lack, though; whenever possible.

Statements such as, “I can afford that . . . I just choose not to buy it today,” are always better than acknowledging actual lack.

Mike nor the direct, Edward, didn’t get a reading, nor have time . . . I promised to do a reading after the show for Mike. Then, as I made friends with a great lady named Sherry; and was chatting with her and Mike. I went to the ladies room and Mike was gone; when I came back.

So, I began my walk back to the subway. I was at 72nd Street/3rd Avenue area, NYC and walked to 63rd St & Lexington for the F-Train. I had taken a bus from 63rd St to get to 72nd. Yet, it was a beautiful night and I felt like walking the Upper East Side.

I had incredible feelings for the most part . . .

Except when I first began my walk . . . I thought of my friend Mozz. I saw a young man who looked just like his friend, Armistead. Then, since I had on my iPod music, I felt I should pay attention as I had heard there had been several muggings on the UES in the past months. Interestingly, and sadly, Mozz was being mugged in New Jersey when I thought these things.

Consciously, I changed my thoughts to more happy one’s. I felt good! I love this weather . . . it’s perfect! I felt like I was always doing lecture and book tours regarding my metaphysics. I felt loved and in love and imagined and felt, strongly, I already have my life partner. I reveled in the feeling I was going home, our spacious condo, to be with my wonderful, loving husband and family.

With thoughts like these, I felt . . . I’m already there! The manifestation wasn’t even needed . . . I already have it! In my being . . .in my mind’s eye . . . there is joy in this!

I did make a pact with the Universe, nevertheless . . . I do care for a man, currently. A man whom is not free to be with me at this time. Many psychic’s have said he and I will come together.

My pact, though . . . I need a man who contacts me, who is interested in me, too . . . I have contact with this man, yet, it is periodic, at best; it is a friendship and I need more attention. Yes, I have him fully in my thoughts . . . still, I need the manifestation soon.

So, I asked the Universe to release me from the feeling of needing this one particular man . . . IF HE IS NOT THE ONE. And if he is the one, I need DEFINITE DIRECT SIGNS from him. Otherwise, I want to be released from my growing interest, love for him . . . if it is, indeed, love. It has to be mutual, or I do not wish it.

That said, I am happy in my feelings . . . thoughts . . . and prayers. I know I have it, for I feel it in my entire being.

I came home . . . and there was an email. For the first time in a while.

The Universe is really sort of awesome, huh?!

10) Your Imagination is a Powerful Tool

Whether dreaming or awake, the mind thinks in images and symbols. Proponents of the Law of Attraction say that when we can clearly imagine having what we want most want, the Law of Attraction takes over and gives it to us.

The time it takes for a dream to become reality doesn’t really matter so much as getting the desired result. Some experts on the Law of Attraction have pointed out that as soon as someone begins focusing on the thing he or she really wants, the universe gets busy arranging or rearranging the necessary elements and circumstances to make manifestation of that thing possible. The process can be accelerated with a  little planning.

Today, I wrote this short story and entered it in a contest on the site.

Thus, to help manifest my writing career … all of you co-create with me and go to the link. Do your best job at critiquing the book. And, if you’d like, join the site and mark my book as a favorite.

By the way, it’s completely free to join http://www.BookRix.com. You don’t have to be a writer and/or if you do write, anything, you can write it there and set it to: Me, Only and no one else, except you, will be able to read your work.

I’ve very excited to once again have my writing up and around.

I have manifested a writing career and some accolades in my life.

I am published in a book: MORE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS, pages 110-112, Conari Press.

The way I received such an honorin the 1990s, the publisher of RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS asked people to send in stories of kindnesses extended to them and/or kindnesses they gave to others. Apparently, they received over 1000 letters/stories. They chose 25 of them to publish. I was one of them!!!

Later this evening, I had two phone conversations with friends.

One a female friend. She and I have been discussing income lately, flow, abundance. We are both NYC Tour Guides. The income is good, nevertheless, the hours aren’t always full-time and with the new schedule; at least, for me @ three days a week. It will be a little spending money and not much for other luxuries.

She asked me if I read “The Monkey’s Paw” . . . a story about how having money leads to awful things. She admitted to me, her attitude toward wealthy people isn’t, or hasn’t been very positive. And her other attitude, based on her upbringing, etc. says that if something fantastic happened (i.e. she won the lottery); then, as in “The Monkey’s Paw”, something tragic is bound to happen.

Because she is open-minded and learning and really working on embracing my preaching of Law of Attraction…I talked to her about that mindset.

It is the number one reason most of us, in this world … seem to struggle for money, or cannot accumulate it. We believe, from our upbringing and such, that money is evil. Look, even I am not always manifesting a lot of abundance. It is a process . . . to exchange 30 or 40 years, in my case, of negative beliefs and attitudes.

These are the truths we must try to remember, as much as possible:

* Money is not evil. It has no other purpose besides trade. It is merely paper and metals.

* Rich people come in all types. Being rich does NOT mean they walked on anyone.

* Rich people do NOT take away from others by their wealth. A majority of the wealthy worked very hard, and definitely BELIEVED they deserved financial abundance. Thus, they received it!

We must, if we too want to prosper, remind ourselves of these truths.

* I deserve to be wealthy!

* Most wealthy people are generous…this is why the Universe/Source/God rewards them with more and more abundance.

>> Oprah Winfrey gives away cars, houses and helps countless people financially; Bill Gates is the same way as Oprah!

And then, we must believe before we can receive . . .

The earth is abundant, if one just looks . . .

So, friends, let’s co-create . . .

I am financially abundant! Money flows to me each and every day, awake or asleep! I am a magnet to money and abundance!”

Rich people, such as myself, are beautiful, generous, giving and loving people! We love to help others … and help them know, also, they, too, can receive and have abundance! There’s plenty for all of us!”

Oh, yes, be sure to check out my co-creator’s blogs, too . . . Join us, in fact!

9) Know That Anything Is Possible

At first it may seem impossible that a person could shrink his debt, acquire wealth, and grow that wealth as much as his mind could imagine. But the Law of Attraction makes anything possible. There are myriad books, CDs, tapes, etc., to teach individuals how to get rich. Often such books offer advice about how to assess your indebtedness, develop a financial plan, imagine putting every step of the plan in place, visualize what’s going to happen, and actualize the events. In this way, the person accelerates the working of the Law of Attraction.

Many people believe that divine consciousness permeates the universe and that when they align themselves in harmony with that consciousness, they become co-creators with the Divine of their destinies. Individuals can tap into the realm of infinite potential and substance. Through their thoughts, they draw into their lives all circumstances, situations, relationships, experiences, and things. The process is continuous and unending.

Received my NYC Tour Guide schedule today . . . it works really well! Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday at 9:20 a.m. This way the rest of the week, I can focus on writing, acting, singing, etc.

Then, a client wanted a reading tonight . . . which the timing is fantastic! I need some income. I don’t start the tours until March 23rd.

I began my story for the contest on BookRix . . .give you the link tomorrow.

Afraid my partner in this daily blog has lapsed out . . . and is still at Day Six (6). Hope he is all right!
