80) Faith And Trust Bear The Fruits of Providence
There are many stories in the Old Testament about the desire, intent, dreams, faith, and will of the ancient Israelites to lay out a course for their destiny as children of the Lord. The Israelites believed that Moses had been chosen by God to lead them from their enslavement by Pharaoh to land that the Lord had promised them. Strong and steady characterizes their belief and faith that their dream of having their own special place in the world was sanctioned by the Lord. They also believed they were the Lord’s chosen ones and that He remained ever near them. Their attitude that God would not abandon them kept their faith strong and that, in turn, kept fear and doubt in abeyance.
